FAQ & FIRST BOOKING FORM
Will Paperbark Farm suit my dog?
The style of care Paperbark Farm provides suits well socialized family dogs who are used to being part of a home environment.
We do not have kennels and runs on the property and cater for all types of dogs: From quiet couch potatoes who prefer to stay indoors to the bouncy and boisterous who love the great outdoors.
The lower level of our home and adjoining play yard is securely set up for our guests and provides areas for supervised play, rest and relaxation while being surrounded by forest and farmland. Activities away from the house and play yard include forest pack walks, swimming in our local river and excursions to the beach.
You can find reviews from other owners on our facebook page here
*All dogs coming to stay for the first time are on a trial basis for future bookings. Dogs older than 6 months need to be desexed, house trained and have a care provider (such as a regular dog walker, trainer, kennel or daycare) who can vouch for their temperament. Activities away from the house and play yard pose an increased risk of injury and must be elected at time of booking for suitability for each individual dog.
What are your charges?
Our all inclusive rate with meals and door to door transport to select suburbs is $80 per night. Due to demand and limited places available at the farmhouse a minimum 7 night charge applies for the school holidays. A 14 night charge applies for dates around Christmas.
Can I drop in to view the farm?
The last four years we have allowed private drop ins to the farm for inspections and unfortunately with our home based setup and no front of house staff we have found new people arriving at the farm to be too disruptive to our dog guests.
Keep an eye on our facebook page for farm open days during the year where you can come up for a fun day with your dog.
What will my dog need to come up with?
A collar with ID
Protection from ticks with an oral tablet such as Bravecto or Nexgaurd
We have lots of leashes, beds, blankets and toys at the farm so its best to leave your dogs belongings at home where they cannot be lost or damaged
